My Story
Laulima is for backpackers who know it’s their “last chance” to travel full-time but are scared of using their savings and falling behind in their careers.
I teach you how to trade your skills for stays and build work experience using Hostel Exchanges. I put everything I learned (from 10 years of travel) into a toolkit that take you from being on the sofa waiting for job replies, stuck paying rent to - being abroad, rent-free, seeing everything you dreamed of and having opportunities lined up for your career đź‘”.
I'm a budget backpacker turned remote worker.

But you might know me as the guy who finds and shares hostel exchanges.
I’ve visited over 200 hostels over two years in person ✊ Yep!! Knocked on each one, door to door. Two of my most memorable failures include getting told off for not pitching in Spanish in Tulum. And getting kicked out of a hostel in Bangkok. But out of the 200+, 🙌 50 became my first partners; that led me to build Laulima to what it is today.

Last year, Laulima had a two page spread featured in Students Pages’ (an award winning student magazine in the UK) Spring Edition 🌼. In which, 50k copies were delivered to 700 UK student halls and retail sites across 43 cities. What a day!! We also got a mention in the UAL Founders Alumni post 🗞️ and I became a Canva Challenge Winner with the Laulima Story.
